Beach Trip August 20th!

• Saturday, August 20, meet at the First Baptist at 8:30am
• Cost: $15
• Anyone who completed 7th-12th grade in the 2010-2011 school year can attend

Upcoming Fundraisers!

Hey guys!

Don’t forget we have several summer camp fundraisers coming up! Mark your calendars with these dates:

• May 1st: Pie Auction. Bake some homemade desserts and bring them to church Sunday morning May 1st. After the 10:45 service that day, stick around and we’ll auction them off. Last year, the Pie Auction raised over $1,000!
• May 9th: Sonora Cantina Taco Night. We need people to pick up shifts from 12-8:30p and help serve chips and salsa, as well as get the word out so we have a huge turnout! All the proceeds from the $1 tacos go directly to camp!
  
  
• May 20th-21st: Rummage Sale. The youth have taken over First Baptist’s annual rummage sale, and we in turn get all the proceeds! We’ll need a big group to help out with set up on Wednesday and Thursday, May 18th and 19th, and then the actual sale is on Friday and Saturday. We’ll need both youth and parents to help work during those times.

That’s everything you need to know now. If you want to help out with any of these fundraisers, please let Luke or Debbie know ASAP. We’ll add you to the list. If you plan on donating pies or other desserts for the Pie Auction, please let us know how many items you plan to donate in advance so we can get ready for that as well.

30 Hour Famine

As we speak, many of our high school students are learning what it means to be hungry. Will you help them raise money to help kids who experience this hunger every day? If so, you can donate here. 

And if you’re one of the youth participating and plan on sleeping over at the church tonight, you can get a copy of the permission slip here if you lost yours. See you tonight at 7!

Camp Sign Ups & Fundraising Info

Don’t forget, HumeSD and Pondo registration is now in full swing! Those who will be completing 9th-12th grade in June can sign up for HumeSD (June 26th-July 1st), and those completing 7th and 8th grade can sign up for Pondo (June 20th-24th). For forms, go to Download Central underneath Media & Downloads at the top of the page. 

We’re also ramping up the fundraising efforts as well. Mark these dates on your calendar: 

• Raffle for Cord of Wood: Happening now, Drawing Friday, March 4th
• Murder Mystery Dinner: Fri, March 4th
• Pie Auction: Sun, May 1st
• Sonora Cantina Taco Night: Mon, May 9th
• Rummage Sale: Fri–Sat, May 20th–21st
